Blocking Specific Content Themes
You can bIock programs based on their content. (Content is represented by II_e
D, I,, S, V, I%: and TV-Y on your screen. See tile beginning of this section fn'r
details.) When you block a content theme lor a particnlar rating, you
automatically block that coi).tent theme tor laigher rated programs as well.
For example', if you do not want your child to watch programs thal have adult
language (L) rated TV-PG or highel, then you could hlock cmt all programming
TV-PG and above containing adtdt language.

Determine the lowest level of content you don't want the child to watch.
Use the up and down arrow buttons on the remote to scroll through tim
age-based ratings until the rating that corresponds with the lowest content
you do not want the child to watch appears. (In the example above, you
would scroll through the ratings until the TV-PG rating appeared.)
Press the right arrow button to move the highlight to the field
corresponding with the content theme you wish to block out.
Press the up or down arrow button to change content status fl'om Vto B.
All higher ratings' content theme will automatically change to B.
Press OK to return to the menu or exit the screen.
Note: Broadcasters are not required to provide content themes or age baaed
ratings. Programs received with no content themes will only be blocked if you
block their age-based rating.
Note: You must remember to lock Parental Controls for rating limits to take effect.
