VCR Plus+ Setup (continued)
*Important:
If the remote control POWER, ACTION, PROG, CH_idY, INDEX or ADD/DLT button does not
work when pressed, press the VCR button on the remote and try the button again.
In order for the VCR to read the VCR Plus+ code, some set up is required. A Guide (VCR Plus+) channel number
is assigned to each local broadcast and cable station. Because this number sometimes differs from the channel
your TV receives the station on, it is necessary to program the VCR with local channel information.

Setup Preparations
NOTE: Complete the steps on this page if your
cable box can be controlled with the VCR, or
your VCR hook-up resembles "B" on page 30.
Prepare a list like the example below.
Thislistwill helpyousmoothlyenterthe information

You will need the following to complete the list:
• A line up of normaland/orcablestationsyou
receivealongwiththe channelnumbersyour"IV
receivesthem on. A cablechannelline-upchart
is supplied by yourcablecompany.
A listof Guide (VCR Plus+)channelnumbers
assigned to the stationsyoureceive.Thislistis
availablein TV Guideand the TV listings found
in selectednewspapers.

Make.a chart with 3 columns like the example
below. In the left column, fill in the name or call
letters of the stations you receive.

In the middle column, fill in each station's
assigned Guide (VCR Plus+) number found in
TV Guide, newspapers,
etc.

In the right column, fill in the channel number
that your TV receives the s.tab'on on from y_ur
channel line-up.

GUIDE CH number and the CABLE (or TV) CH numbers
