Locate the Reed Switch (22) and the Magnet (18) on
the Heftside of the Pulley (17). Turn the Pulley until the
Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure
that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed
Switch is about 1/8". if necessary, move the Reed
Switch sHghtiy using a shotted screwdriver. Reattach
the Motor Hood (not shown), making sure that the 3/4"
Screws (not shown) are inserted into the same hobs
from which they were removed. Run the treadmHi for a
few minutes to check for a correct speed reading.

PROBLEM:
The walking
belt slows when waJked on
SOLUTION:
a. Use oniy a singie-outiet surge suppressor that meets ali of the specifications described on page 11.
b,
if the waiMng bent is overtightened, treadmili perfor-
mance may decrease and the waiking bentmay be-
come damaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE
POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear
roller boits counterciockwise,
1/4 of a turn. When the
waiking bent is properiy tightened, you shouid be abie
to Hilteach edge of the waiking bent 3 to 4 inches off
the waiking piatform. Be carefui to keep the waiking
bent centered. Then, piug in the power cord, insert the
key, and run the treadmili for a few minutes. Repeat
untii the waiking bent is properiy tightened.

PROBLEM:
The walking
belt is off-center
or stips when walked on
SOLUTION:
a. if the walking belt is off-center, remove the key and
UNPLUG THE POWER CORD, If the waJking beJt
has shifted to the teft, use the hex key to turn the
Heftrear roller boit ciockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walk-
ing belt has shifted to the right, turn the Heftrear
roller boit countemiockwise
1/2 of a turn, Be carefui
not to overtighten the walking belt. Hug in the power
cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few
minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered.
b,
if the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove
the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD, Using
the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4
of a turn, When the walking belt is correctly tightened,
you should be able to lift each edge of the walking
belt 8 to 4 inches off the walking platform, Be careful
to keep the walking belt centered, Then, plug in the
power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the
treadmill for a few minutes, Repeat until the walking
belt is properly tightened,
PROBLEM:
The incline of the treadmill
does not change correctly
SOLUTION:
a. With the key in the console, press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing,
re-
move the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically
rise to the
maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. This will recalibrate the incline sys-
tem.
