Starter Rope / Recoil Starter
The starterrope/recoilstarteris usedto start theengine.
See Fig. 4-1
Primer
The primeris usedto pumpgas intothe carburetorand
aid in startingthe engine.Use it to starta cold engine,
butdo not useit to restarta warm engineafter a short
shutdown.See Fig.4-1

Blade Control
Locatedon the upperhandle,the blade controlmustbe
depressedagainsttheupper handlein orderto operate
the unit. Releasing the blade controlstopsthe engine
and theedger blade. See Fig. 4-1.

Curb Height Adjustment Lever
The curbheightadjustmentleveris foundon the rear
portionof the edger.Whenplacedin an applicablenotch,
it aids in stabilizingthe edgerwhile edginggrassalong a
curb. See Fig. 4-1.
The bladedepthcontrol leveris locatedon the rightside
of the upper handle.It is usedto controlthe depthof the
cut. Thefurther forwardthe blade depthcontrolleveris

Bevel Adjustment Lever
The beveladjustmentleveris locatedon thefront, left
portionof the edger,behindthe edger blade.It isused to
vary the angleof the edger bladebetweenone of three
positionsfor edging/trenching or bevelededging.See
Fig. 4-1.
