Tire Pressure
Batteryposts,terminals,and relatedaccessoriescontainlead and
leadcompounds,chemicalsknownto the State of Californiato cause
cancer and reproductiveharm.Washhandsafter handling.
Whenattachingbatterycables,alwaysconnectthe POSiTiVE(Red)
wire to its terminalfirst, followedbythe NEGATIVE (Black) wire.
For shippingreasons,bothbatterycableson yourequipmentmay
havebeenleft disconnected from theterminalsat the factory.To
connectthe batterycables,proceedas follows:
NOTE:The positivebatteryterminalis markedPos.(+). The negative
batteryterminalis markedNeg.(-).
NOTE: If the positivebatterycableis alreadyattached,skip aheadto
step 2.

Removetheplasticcover,if present,fromthe positivebattery
terminaland attachthe redcable to the positivebatteryterminal
(+)with the bolt and hexnut. See Figure3.

terminaland attachthe black cableto the negativebattery
terminal(-) with the bolt and hex nut. See Figure3.

Positionthe red rubberbootoverthe positivebatteryterminalto
help protectit fromcorrosion.
NOTE: If the batteryis put intoserviceafter the dateshownon top/
sided battery,chargethe batteryas instructedin the Serviceand
Maintenancesectionof this Operator'sManualprior to operatingthe
tractor.
Neverexceedthe maximuminflationpressureshownon thesidewall
of the tire. Do notoverinfiatetires. Checksidewallof tires for maxi-
mum psi. Equaltire pressureshouldbe maintainedat all times.
The tires on yourtractormay be overinfiatedfor shippingpurposes.
Reducethe tire pressurebeforeoperatingthe tractor.Checksidewall
of tires for maximumpsi.
Adjusting
the Seat
Toadjust the positionof the seat,pull up and hold the seat adjustment
lever.Slide the seatforwardor rearwardto thedesiredposition;then
releasethe adjustment l ever.Makesure seatis lockedintopositionin
a seat-stopbeforeoperatingthe tractor.See Figure4.
Beforeoperatingthe tractor,makesurethe seat is engagedin a
seat-stop.Engagethe parkingbrake.Standbehindthe machineand
pull backon seatuntil it clicks intoplace.

Toadjust the angleof the armrests,lift the armrestsand rotatethe
heightadjust knobclockwiseto lowertheangle or counterclockwise to
raisethe angle.See Figure4.
