RECORDING
5 Playthe source first to set the optimal recording level on
the CDRecorder/Player.
6 PressRECLEVEL (+ or -) repeatedlyuntil all the blue
segmentson the Record/Playlevel bar light up continuously
but the red segmentsdo not during the loudest passages
-I'The display will show O_db or _db or 3rib or bdb
7 Stopthe source.
Start analogue recording
1 To start recording,pressPLAYon the CDRecorder/Player
and immediately start the source
4 RECORD lights continuouslyThetrack numberand
recordingtime usedappear on the display•
• Torecorda 3-secondsilence at the start of a track, press
PAUSE•
• Tocheck the (remaining)recording time, pressDISPLAY•
(This can also be done duringthe recording)
2 Tostop recording, pressSTOP on the CDRecorder/Player.
-) nEcneawill go out.
• Tointerrupt recording,press PAUSE•
-.I. BECOeD will start to flash. Resumeat step 1.
After recordingthe display will show UPdREE for several
seconds•
Note, With AUTO mACK on, the recorder will stop
automatically after a 20 secondssilence. With AUTO
TRACK o ff, the AUTO STOP mode is disabled•
IFinalizing CD-R& CD-RWdiscs
Finalizingis a simple procedurethat is necessaryin orderto
play back the discs on the CDRecorder/Player or on an
external COplayer.
Note Finalizingprevents any further recordingon a CD-R.
A hnalizedCD-RWmust be unfinalizedto allow
further recordingor erasure of tracks•
1 Make sure the disc (in the CDRecorder/Player) i s
absolutely free of scratchesand dust particles•
2 With the recorderstopped pressFINALIZE andthen within
3 secondspress RECORD•

_" The approximatefinalization time will appear inthe
display•
ReCOeD& nNAUZE lights up. Thedisplay counts down
through the finalization.
On completion,the total number of tracks and the total
time recordedwill appearon the display.
For CD-Rco RECOROABLE will changeto coon the
display.
ForCD-RWno changewill de seen on the display.
Finalizing will last at least2 minutes•
Note. • Outing finalisation, the CORecorder/Player a cceptsno
operatingcommands.
IUnfinalizing CD-RWdiscs 1
For CO-RWdiscsonly.
If you want to make morerecordings(or to erase tracks)on a
finalized disc you must unfinalizn it first. The Tableof
Contents(TOC) o n the disc will be removed.
Tounfinalize:
i Press ERASE twice,
