Press the Number I button to record in SP speed, the
Number 2 button to record in LP speed, or the Number 3
button to record in SLP speed.Your selection will appear to
the right of REC SPEED on-screen, although SP= I LP=2 SLP=3 will
continue to flash. For details about tape speed, see page 36.You
cannot use the (Tape) SPEED button at this time.

Press the STATUS/EXIT button, PROGRAM WAS COM-
PLETED / PLEASETURN OFFVCR FORTIMER RECORDING
should appear on the screen. After three seconds, the on-screen
display will disappear.

Press the POWER button to turn off theVCR power. The
Timer light will appear.TheTimer light will flash if there is not a
tape in the VCR.
If the timer recording will take place several hours or days from
now, you may use theVCR until time for the recording.Just turn
off the VCR a few minutes before the recording starts.
The VCR must be turned off for a timer recording to take
place. If you forget to turn off theVCR, PLEASETURN OFFVCR
FOR TIMER RECORDING flashes on your TV screen two minutes
before a timer recording starts.You can remove the message by
pressing the CLEAR button.
The VCR must be off for a
timer recording to take
place! Make sure there is a
tape in the VCR.

• To exit the VCR Plus+ programming
system at any time, press the STA-
TUS/EXIT button.The display will
disappear from the TV screen.
• If the preset time for a timer
recording comes up during an OTR,
the OTR has priority.
• To stop a started timer recording,
press the STOP/EJECTbutton on
the VCR.
• If the power fails for more than one
minute, programmed timer record-
ings may be lost. Reset the clock
before re-programming the timer
recordings.
• If you are using a Cable Box/DSS
Receiver, timer recordings are pro-
grammed differently. See page eight
for details.
