_o'yOu have connected the TV's AUDIO
UTP UTjacks to the AUDIO INPUT jacks
on a stereo receiver (seepage 12.fbr connec-
tion instruction.s;), set AUDIO OUT to either
VARlABLE or fUXED to determine whether
you adjust the volume at the stereo or at the
TE Elyou select VARIABLE, change the vol-
ume at the TV using the TVI_ remote control.
if you select FIXED, adjust the volume at the
stereo using the stereo _ controls. To select
FIXED or VARIABLE,/bllow these steps.

Press the MENU button on the remote control to show the onscreen
menu,
Press the CURSOR DOWN button
once to highlight SOUND.

Press the CURSOR RIGHT button
and the menu will shift to the left,
TREBLE will be highlighled and an
adjustment bar will be shown to the
right,

Press the CURSOR DOWN button
repeatedly until AUDIO OUT is high-
lighted.
Press the CURSOR RIGHT or CUR-
SOR LEFT button to select FIXED or
VARIABLE.

Press the STATUS/EXIT button to
remme the menu from the screen.
FIXED If FIXED is selected, the sound
coming from the TV and being heard
through an external audio system is not
adjustable with the television's volume
controls. The volume would have to be
adjusted at the audio system,
VARIABLE if VARIABLE is selected,
the sound coming from the TV and being
heard through an external audio system can
be adjusted at the TV using the Volume +
or buttons on the television or remote
control.
