Be carefld not to slide pots and
pans across your cool<top. It will
leave metal marMngs on file
cooktop surflme.
These marks are removable
using
ceramic cool<top cleaner with a
cleaning pad for ceramic cooktops.
-27 If pots with a thin overlay of
aluminum or copper are allowed
to boil dry, the overlay m W leave
black discoknadon on the cooktop.
This should be removed
immediamly before beating
again or the discoloration may
be permanent.
WARNING: C arefully check the
bottomof pansforroughness t hat wouldscratch
thecooktop.
G/ass surface--potential for
permanentdamage.
Our testing shows that#you are
cooking highsugar mixtures
such asjelly or fudgeandhave
a spi/Iover,it can cause
permanent damageto the glass
surface unlessthe spillover is
immediately removed.
Damage from Sugary Spills and Melted Plastic
Tmn off all surface elements.
Remove hot pans.
Wearing an oven mitt:
a. Use a single-edge razor blade
scraper (cermnic co(Amp
scraper) to move the spill to
a cool area on the cooktop.
b. Remove the spill with
paper towels.
[_ Any remaining spillover shoukt be
leR until the suIf_ce of the cooktop
has cooled.
[_ Don't use the smf_tce elements
again until all of the residue has
been completely removed.
NOTE: ff pitting or indentation in theglass
surface hasalreadyoccurred, thecooktop glass
