Read and under-
stand "STARTING AND STOPPmNG iNSTRUCTiONS FOR
PNEUMATIC LiNE BORING MACHINES", before continu-
ing these instructions.

Hace a test board (F) Fig. 54, iong enough to reach
both champ cyiinders
(G), against the fence and under
the boring bits as shown. Adjust stop bracket (C) Fig. 53,
so it indicates the exact same thickness as that of the
board (F) Fig. 54. (If the board is 3/4" thick, set the stop
bracket (C) at 3/4" etc.).
4_ Operate the unit through
one cycb.
Press in and
hold the start button (J) Fig. 55. The two air clamps (G)
Fig. 55, will activate and the clamps will start downward,
clamping the board firmly against the tabb. In addition,
the motor will start and the boring head will lower, as
shown in Fig. 55_
5_ If the boring bits just make contact with the surface
of the wood, the depth setting is correct. If the boring
bits drill into the wood,
or if the boring bits do not
contact the surface of the wood, an adjustment to the
limit switch is necessary.
6.
To adjust the limit switch (E) Fig. 53, loosen lock nut
(L). NOTE: If the boring bits drilled into the wood, turn
adjustment
screw (M) Fig. 53, counterclockwise.
If the
boring bits did not contact the surface of the wood, turn
adjustment screw (M) dockwise.

Recheck limit switch depth control setting;
repeat
STEPS 3 and 4 if necessary.

MOVING FENCE AND TABLE
The fence and table can be moved in or out so that hobs can be bored up to four inches from the edge of the
workpiece.
Loosen
table
lock
knobs
(A) Fig.
56,
and
move
the
table
(B) in
or
out
until
the
index
pin
(C)
Fig. 57, when pushed down, lines up with the desired mark on the scab (D) you wish the hobs to be drilled. Then
tighten lock knobs (A) Fig. 56.
