Your H ITACHI Plasma TVincorporates one Tuner
technology designed forimproved viewing enjoyment.
This feature allows youtoview Digital Channels and
Video i nputs onboth themain picture and sub picture
simultaneously, with separate control.
When a Digital channel isviewed inthemain picture,
theDigital or Analog c hannel cannotbeviewed in
the subpicture. Please s ee table forPIP availability.
Toselect between main picture a nd PIP subpicture,
use theCURSOR PAD button t heremote. The Green
highlighted channel display will m ove w ith every p ress
oftheCURSOR PAD buttons.
The Picture-in-Picture feature isconvenient when y ou
want to watch more than one program at the same
time. You can watch a TV program while viewing other
programs from any of the video inputs.
Use connection at right to view VCR program as a sub-
picture while viewing another program as main picture
(CABLE/AIR Digita_ channel).
(_ PIP button
Press the PIP button and a sub-picture will appear
in one of the four different modes (POP, PIP, or
SPUT), depending on the iNPUT signal. To change
the PIP mode, use the PIP button to cycle through
the three different modes.
SPLIT MODE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE
Split Mode PIP displays the main picture and sub-
picture evenly on the screen.

Main Picture Sub Picture
POP MODE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE
POP Mode PiP displays the sub-picture outside of
the main picture. Use the CURSOR PAD (A or _')
to move the sub-picture. This feature is not
available with a 1080if720p signal, Please refer to the
PICTURE-IN-PICTURE MODES Table (see page
29).
