On some models
Water Filter Cartridge
The water flter carlridge is located in the
back upper right comer of tlae refiigerator
compartment.
When to Replace the Filter
The filter cartridge should be replaced
every sixmonths or earlier if the flow of
water to the water dispenser or icemaker
decreases.
Installing the Filter Cartridge

remove the old one by slowly turning it
Place the top of the cartridge up
tO the left. DOnotpull down on the
inside thecartridge holder and cartridge. A small amount of water may
slowly turn it to the right, drip down.
O Apply the month and year sticker to the
new cartridge to remind you to replace
the filter in six months.
Fill the replacement cartridge with
water from the tap to allow for better
flow from the dispenser immediately
after installation,

the holder.
Slowly lure it m the rigft until the filter
cmlridge stops, DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN.
As you lure if,x' camidge, it will
automatically raise itsetfinlo position.
Carllidge will rotate a[_)ut 1/2 ram.
_Run water from the dispenser for
3 minutes (about one and a half
gallons) to clear the system and
prevent sputtering.
NOTE: A newly-installed waterfilter cartridge may
causewater to spurtfromthedispenser
Filter Bypass Plug
You must use Ilae filmr bypass plug
when a replacement filler carlridge is not
available. The dispenser and tfe icemaker
will not operate without the filter or filter
bypass plug.
