Water Filter Cartridge
The water filter cartridge is located in tile
back upper right corner of tile refrigerator
compamnent.
When to Replace the Filter
Tim filter cartridge should be replaced
Place the top of the cartridge up
inside the cartridge holder and
slowly turn it to the right.
evm 7 six months or earlier if the flow of
water to tim water dispenser or icemaker
decreases.
Installing the Filter Cartridge
O If you are replacing the cartridge, first
remove the old one by slowly turning it
to tile left. Donotpull doom on tile
carwidge. A small amount of water may
drip down.
Apply the month and year sticker to the
new cartridge to remind you to replace
the filter in sixmonths.
Fill the replacement cartridge with
water from tile tap to allow for better
flow from tile dispenser immediately
after installation.
Lining up tile arrow on tile carnidge
and tile cartridge holdm; place tile
top of the new carnidge tip inside
the holder. DOn0t push it tip into
the holder.
O Slowly turn it to the right until the filter
cartridge stops. DONOTOVERTIGHTEN.
As you turn the cartridge, it will
automatically raise itself into position.
Camidge will rotate at>out 1/9 turn.
Run water from the dispenser for
3 minutes (ahout one and a half
.gallons) to clear tbe system and
prevent sputtering.
NOTE: A newly-installed waterfilter cartridge may
causewater tospurtfromthedispenser
Filter Bypass Plug
You must use tile filter bypass plug
wben a replacement filter cartridge is not
available. The dispenser and tile icemaker
will not operate witbout tim filter or filter
bypass plug.
