Warning Messages and Displays
The following warnings are displayed in the monitor:
Warning Description ' Solution
(red) Tile battery is low.
Insert a fresh or fully-charged spare battery.
(blinks red) The battery is exhausted.
_ Slow shutter speed. Picture may be blurred.
!AF
(displayed in red The camera can not focus.
with red focus frame
The subject is too bright or too dark. The pic-
ture will be over- or under-exposed.
Camera malfunction.
Aperture or shutter
speed shown in red

LENS CONTROL ERROR
No memory card inserted when [] COPY is
NOCARD
selected in the playback menu.
The memory card or internal memory is not
formatted or the memory card was formatted
in a computer or other device.
CARD NOT INITIALIZED
Tile memory card contacts require cleaning.
Camera malfunction.
PROTECTED CARD The memory card is locked.
BUSY The memory card is incorrectly formatted.
Use the flash or mount the camera on a tripod.
Use focus lock to focus on another subject at the
same distance, then recompose the picture (pg. 22).
If the subject is poorly ]it, try focusing at a distance of
about 2 m (6.6 ft.).
Use macro mode to focus when taking close-ups.
If the subject is dark, use the flash.
Turn the camera off and then on again, taking care not
to touch the lens. If the message persists, contact a
FUJIFILM dealer (pg. 114).
Insert a memory card.
Format the memory card or internal memory using the _1
[] FORMAT option in the camera setup menu (pg. _.
88). _'

Clean the contacts with a soft, dry cloth. If the mes- _-
sage is repeated, format the memory card (pg. 88). If
the message persists, replace the memory card. _.
Contact a FUJIFILM dealer (pg. 114).
Unlock the memory card (pg. 8).
Use the camera to format the memory card (pg. 88).
