6. Locate thearborlock(5)onthe motor, b elowthe
miter sawswitchhandle. ( Fig.H)
7. Press thearborlock,holding it infirmlywhileturning
thebladewrench clockwise. Thearborlockwill
engage afterturning thewrench. C ontinue tohold
thearborlockintokeepitengaged, whileturning
thewrench clockwise toloosen thearborbolt.

theblade(8).Donotremove theinnerbladecollar.

To avoid injury, never use the saw without
the
cover plate secure in place, it keeps the arbor
bolt from falling
out if it accidentally
loosens,
and
helps prevent the spinning blade from coming off
the saw,
Make sure the collars are clean and properly
arranged. Lower the blade into the table and
check for any contact with the metal base or the
turn table.
INSTALLING
THE HOLD=DOWN CLAMP ASSEMBLY
(FIG. J)
1. Place the hold-down clamp assembly (1) in one of
the mounting holes (2).

Installing
Blade (Fig, G, H, I)
1. Install a 10 in. blade, making sure the rotation arrow
on the blade matches the clockwise rotation arrow on
the upper guard, and the blade teeth are pointing
downward.
2. Place the outer blade collar (7) against the blade and
on the arbor (9). Thread the arbor bolt (6) into the
arbor (9) counterclockwise.

IMPORTANT:
Make sure the flats of the blade collars
are engaged with the flats on the arbor shaft.
INSTALLING
THE EXTENSION TABLE (FIG. K)
1. Loosen the extension table lock knob (1).
2. Place the extension mounting tube (2) into the two
holes provided in the miter saw base.
3. insert one Phillips screw (3) into the matching hole
(4) and tighten to hold the extension table.
4. Slide the extension table to desired position and
tighten the extension table lock knob (1).
5. Install the right extension table in the same manner.
3. Place the blade wrench on the arbor bolt.

4. Press the arbor lock (5), holding it in firmly while
turning the blade wrench counterclockwise.
When
it engages, continue to press the arbor lock in,
while tightening the arbor bolt securely. (Fig. H)

5. Rotate the cover plate (3) back until the slot in the
3
cover plate engages with the cover plate screw (2).
Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.
Lower the blade guard. (Fig. G)
6. Be sure the arbor lock is released so the blade
turns freely by spinning the blade until the arbor lock.
