To avoid fire or toxic reaction, never use gasoline,
naphtha, acetone, lacquer thinner, or similar highly
volatile solvents to clean the shaper/router.
For your safety, this shaper/router
is double-insulated.
To avoid electrical shock, fire. or injury, use only parts
identical to those identified in the parts list. Reassemble
exactly as the original assembly to avoid electrical shock.
Frequently blow out using an air compressor or dust
vacuum, any dust that accumulates inside the motor.
Apply a light coat of automotive paste wax to the table
top and the fence faces to reduce friction during shaping,
and to protect the surfaces.
Do not allow brake fluids, gasoline, or penetrating oils to
come in contact with plastic parts. They contain
chemicals that can damage or destroy plastics.
GENERAL
MAINTENANCE
Keep your shaper/router
clean and adjusted properly for
maximum performance and machine longevity. Do not
allow pitch or gums to accumulate on the table, fences,
or cutters. Clean bits and cutters frequently with a good
quality gum and pitch remover.
LUBRICATION
The shaper/router
spindle shaft ball bearings are
permanently
lubricated at the factory. No further
lubrication is required.
