NOTE The Resoufion setting affects the number of images that
can be saved on your memory card. Fewer images will be
saved on the memory card at the default, higher
Resolution setting of 5MP o2608 x ] 952 than at the lower
setting of IMP o ] 296 x 976. See Memory cord capacity
on page 110.
If you pressOK when the
Compress on option is highlightedin
theCapture menu,the Compression
sub-menudisplays.This sub-menu
allowsyou to set how muchJPEG
compression your imageswill have.
The following table describes the
Compression settings. The default setting is Better.The
Compress on setting remains set when you turn the camera off.

ilThis setting produces the highest-quality
images, but uses the most memory. This is
Jrecommended if you plan to enlarge
:: i mages, or print images to a size larger than
18 by 24 cm (or 8 by 10 in).

isetting. This is recommended for printing
