Randomly spaced bright pixds
("noise") appear inimage.
Pictures are t oo dark
(underexposed).
Pictures are t oo bright
(overexposed).
Unexpected results when flash
set to_@ (auto with red-eye
reduction).
Shutter speed too slow or ISO s ensitivity is high as
the s ubject is dark. Noise can b e reduced by:
Using flash.
Specifying alower ISO s ensitivity setting.
Using ascene mode which has noise
reduction ability.
Flash is of£
Flash window is blocked.
Subject is beyond flash range.
Adjust exposure compensation.
Select
High ISO sensitivity auto for ISO
sensitivity in the shooting menu, or raise the
ISO sensitivity.
Subject is backlit. Select i_ (BacMight scene
mode) or use fill flash.
Adjust exposure compensation.
If taking pictures with _@ (auto with red-eye
reduction) or fill flash with slow sync and red-eye
reduction when scene mode is set to Night
portrait, In-Camera Red Eye Fix may be applied to
areas not affected by red-eye. Use any scene mode
other than Night portrait, and change the flash
to any other settings other than _@ (auto with
red-eye reduction) and try shooting again.
Playback

File cannot be played back. File or folder was overwritten or renamed by
computer or other make of camera.
Interval timer photography in progress:
pictures cannot be played back until
recording is complete.
Cannot zoom in on picture. Playback zoom cannot be used with movies,
small pictures, or pictures that have been
cropped to below 320 x 240.
