Recording by using the viewfinder is
recommended in bright environments where
the LCD monitor is difficult to see or to
increase recording time on battery.
Preparation:
• Slide the power/rnode switch to MODE to
select _ or a mode.
• Press the PLAY/REC button to select
recording mode.
| Close the LCD monitor.
2 Extend the viewfinder.

Zoom out
W: Wide angle
Maximum zoom ratio is 10X (factory-preset).
Zoom in
T: Telephoto
• To change the maximum zoom ratio (for
mode only)

Macro shooting is possible as close as
approx. 5 cm (2") to the subject when the
zoom lever is set all the way to W.
3 Adjust the view using the control bar.
If the LCD monitor is opened while using
the viewfinder, the picture will move to the
LCD monitor and will not be displayed in
the viewfinder. To set the viewfinder as
priority when recording, set the [PRIORITY
SETTING] to [FINDER]. (:_. pg. 71)
