Operational problems

The On Line
light does not turn on when you turn the printer on.
Cause
The power cord may be not
properly plugged into the
electrical outlet.
The electrical outlet may be
controlled by an outside
switch or automatic timer.
The printer does not print and the On Line light is off.
Cause
The printer is off line.

Troubleshooting
What to do
Turn off the printer and check the
power cord connections between the
printer and the electrical outlet; then
turn the printer back on.
Make sure the switch is turned on or
plug another electrical device into the
outlet to check whether the outlet is
operating properly.
What to do
Press On Line once to put the printer
on line (the On Line light comes on).
