Notes
• This function has no connection with the AUTO
LOCK cover. You can use autofocusing in macro
while manually adjusting the ordinary focus, etc.
• Do not press the power zoom button while the zoom
lever is moving for autofocusing in macro. Otherwise,
autofocusing is released.
Manual focusing in macro
1 Turn the zoom lever to the MACRO range without
pressing the button on it.
The MACRO indication lights up in the viewfinder.
2 Turn the zoom lever within the MACRO range to
focus sharply.
If the lens hood touches the subject
Remove the lens hood. Hold the focus ring and turn the
hood by pressing it with your palm. (N-3)
Do the same when attaching/removing a filter or
conversion lens (not supplied).
Recommended
accessory
When shooting in macro, the depth of field is very
shallow, so pay attention to focusing. To keep the
subject in focus, use a tripod.
