Do not use/store the camera in
the following places
• In an extremel_

or

strong
magnetic

• In sandy
or dusty

Be careflfl
not to let sand
or dust
get into the
camera.

and in some

this malflmctiou
cannot
be repaired.
On carrying
Do not sit down
ill a chair or other
place
with the
camera
in the back
pocket
of your
trousers
or
skirt, as this may
cause
malfunction
or damage
the
camera.
On the battery pack
• Avoid
rough
handling,
disassembling,
modifying,
physical
shock,
or impact
such as
hammering,
dropping
or stepping
on the battery
pack.
• Do not use a delormed
or damaged
battery
pack.
On cleaning
Cleaning

the screen
surface
with an LCD
clemling
kit
(sold
separately)
to remove
fingerprints,
dust,
etc.

lens
Wipe
the lens witb a sofl cloth
to remove
fingerprints,
dust,
etc.
Cleaning

camera
surface

a soft cloth
slightly
moistened
with water,

with
a dry cloth.
To prevent
damage
to the finish

casing:
• Do not expose

to chemical
products

as thinner,
benzine,

insect
repellent,
sunscreen
or insecticide.
• Do not toucb
the camera
with
any of the above
on your hand.
• Do not leave
the camera
in contact
with rubber
or vinyl
for a long time.
On operating temperatures
Your
camera
is designed

the
temperatures
between

anti
104°F).
Shooting
in extremely
cold
or hot places
that exceed
this range
is not recommended.
On moisture condensation
If the cmnera
is brought

fi'om a cold to a
warm
location,
nloisture
may coudeuse
inside
or
outside
the camera.
This moisture
condensation
)nay cause
a malfimction
of the camera.
If moisture
condensation
occurs
Turn
offthe
camera
and wait about
an hour
fk>rthe
moisture
to evaporate.
Note
that if you shoot
with
moisture
remaining
inside
the lens,
images
will
not be clear.
On the internal rechargeable
backup battery
This camera
has an internal
rechargeable
battery
for maiutaining
the date
and time
anti other
settings
regardless
of whether
the power
is on or
off.
This rechargeable
battery
is continually
charged
as long as you are using
the camera.
However,
if
you use the camera
for only
short periods,
it
discharges
gradually,
and if you do not use the
camera
at all for about
one mouth
it becomes
completely
discharged.
In this case, be sure to
charge
this rechargeable
battery
bulk>re using
the
camera.
However,
even
if this recbargeable
battery
is not
charged,
you can still use the camera,
but the date
and time will not be indicated.
Charging
method
of the
internal
rechargeable
backup
battery
Insert charged
battery
pack
ill the camera,
aud
then
leave
the camera
fk>r 24 hours
or more
with
the power
off.
