Protecting images
Protecting an image prevents it from being erased accidentally,
I
Select [Protect images].
® Under the [B'] tab, select [Protect
images], then press <_>.
_y,, T he protect setting screen will
appear.

SeJect the image and protect it.
® Press the <_ > key to select the
image to be protected, then press
_y,, W hen an image is protected, the
<[_> icon wiii appear on the top of
the screen.
® To cancel the image protection, press
<_D3_> again. The <[_]> icon will
disappear.
® To protect another image, repeat step 2.
® To exit the image protection, press
the <MENU> button. The menu will
reappear.
@ if yOUformat the Card (pA2), the pietected images will a,so be erased:
e_ once an image is protected, it Cannotbe erased bythe Camera'serase
_ if you erase alt the images (p,172), only the protected images will
remain. This iS convenient when you want to erase unnecessary images
aJl at once.
