Using the Self-Timer

The picture is taken ten seconds after the shutter release button is
pressed.

Set the mode dial to
x
Press the
button.
c
Press the shutter release button.
The self-timer is engaged and the self-timer lamp lights. The
picture is taken approximately three seconds after the self-
timer lamp starts to blink.

Using the Remote Control Unit (optional)

You can take pictures using the wireless remote control unit
(optional).

Set the mode dial to
x
Press the
button twice.
The self-timer lamp will blink and the
camera is ready to take pictures.
If you press the Zoom button on the
remote control unit, the zoom will
switch from [Wide] to [Tele] to [Middle].
c
Press the shutter release button on the remote control
unit.
The self-timer lamp will blink rapidly and the picture will be
taken after approximately three seconds.

• The buttons on the camera can be used in the same way.

• Please ensure that the remote control unit is no more than 5
meters apart from the front of the camera.
• When the digital zoom function is enabled, the digital zoom can
not be operated with the remote control unit, but the digital
zoom can be operated by pressing the Zoom button on the
camera. However, the camera will revert to optical zoom mode
by pressing the Zoom button on the remote control unit.
• The powersaving function can be worked (the self-timer lamp
will also go off).
