ADJUSTING
THE LASER
See Figures 11 - 13.
Unplug the drill.
Facing a wail, center the bubble in the top level.
Clamp the drill in a vice or other clamp so that the laser
lines project onto a wail.
NOTE: For accurate measurements,
do not exceed a 3
ft. distance from the nearest wail. Otherwise, laser lines
may not intersect properly for perpendicular
measure-
ments.
Connect the drill to a power supply.
Turn on the laser.
_,
WARNING:
DO NOT point the laser at yourself
or others. Class Ilia lasers will burn the retinas and
could cause serious injury to the eyes.
Use a level and a framing square to take measure-
ments of the laser lines on the wall to determine what
adjustments
are needed.
NOTE: Use a level to check the horizontaI and vertical
laser lines. A framing square or level can be used to check
if the laser lines are perpendicular. The laser lines should
project a 90 ° angle.
Make adjustments
with the drill clamped in place and the
lasers facing away from the user.
