BIOS Setup

The motherboard supports two programmable flash chips: 5 volt and 12
volt. Either memory chip can be updated when BIOS upgrades are
released. Use the Flash Memory Writer utility to download the new BIOS
file into the flash chip as described in detail in this section.
All computer motherboards provide a Setup utility program for specifying
the system configuration and settings. Run the Setup utility (described
later) and note the configuration settings, particularly the hard disk
specifications, for future reference.
When you install the motherboard, reconfigure your system, or receive a
Run Setup message, you will need to enter new setup information. This
section describes how to configure your system using this utility.

Setup Utility

The BIOS ROM of the system stores the Setup utility. When you turn on
the computer, the system gives you an opportunity to run Setup. During
the power-on self test (POST), press the <Delete> key to invoke Setup. If
you press <Delete> too late, the test routines will continue. In this case,
reset the system and try again.
When you invoke Setup, the CMOS Setup Utility main screen displays
with the following options:
