Automatic programs includeRegular/Cotton a nd Permanent p ress.Programselectionis
basedin parton the laundryfabric type.Theseprograms are controlledvia moisturesensors.
Program time is determined bythe measureddegreeof moisturein the laundryand on the
degree of drynessselected(e.g.Dampdry, RegularDry,ExtraDry).
Time programs run for a userspecifiedlengthof time. TheAir fluff/Noheattimed cycleuses
ambientair (roomtemperature) w ithouta heatsupplyand runsfor 20 minutes.
Specialprograms are customdesigned for specifictypesof fabricsuch as woolor jeans.
Woolor woolenproductsshouldonlybe dryedusingthe dryerrack.
MISTCARE ® cyclesare bestsuited for smoothingout wrinklesand reducingodors.
Theseprogramsshouldbe usedwith loadsconsisting of threeto four itemsmadeof
wrinklefree cotton,cotton/polyester blend,cottonknit pullovers or synthetics.
Duringthis cyclea small amountof water is sprayedintothe drumwhiletumblingwith heat. This processis repeated, f ollowedby additional
tumblingand a brief cooldownperiod. The heatleveland time are presetfor theseprograms.
Note:Results mayvary with fabrictype. Garments that are 100% cottonand havewrinkle resistant f inish maygivebetterresults.
If the nozzle stopssprayingduringone of the MISTCARE ® cycles(symptoms wouldbe wateris not seensprayinginto drum,clothesare less
wrinkle-freethan theycustomarilyarewith this function)checkto be surethe nozzle is notclogged. Lint mayaccumulate to blockthe nozzle tip or
hardwater maycausebuildupon the nozzle(seepage26).

temp. button can produce more
savings.
Signal
500 Series
Your dryer outputs different signals for
certain events. You may enable or
disable the signal by simultaneously
depressing the buttons shown. The
following audible tones will be
generated indicating the status of the
appliance.
Delicates low temp. Signal Type
Press the "Delicates low temp." button
for temperature sensitive textiles. Start Shorttone
Observe the care information or
symbols on the textiles. The End
temperature of the drying process is
reduced, the drying time is extended.
ECO e
Your dryer has an "energy savings"
ECO option. This option is used only
with cotton and permanent press
automatic programs. Less heat is
applied, and drying time is extended.
Press the option button prior to starting
an automatic program.

program is affected by the load
size, textile type and climatic
conditions.

Sequence
The dryer uses an electronic scanning
system for all programs except the time
programs. A moisture sensor
continuously checks the moisture in the
laundry. Drying ends automatically as
soon as the selected degree of dryness
has been reached.
The drum continues to rotate at
specific intervals for one hour to
prevent creasing.
The current degree of drying and the
level reached during the program
sequence is indicated via indicator
lights (Drying, Damp dry, Regular dry,
Wrinkle block).
