Wash
them
in hot,
soapy
water

grates

cooktop
wet.
To get
rid
of burned-on
food,
place
the
grates
in a covered
container
or plastic
bag.
Add
l/4
cup
ammonia
and
let them
soak
fin" 30 minutes.
Wash,
rinse
well
and
dry.
The
grates
may
also
be
cleaned
in a
dishwasher.
Although
they
are durable,
the
grates
will
gradually
lose
their
shine,
regardless
of the
best
care
you
can
give
them.
This
is due
to
their
continual
exposure
to high
temperatm'es.
Do not
operate
a burner
for
an
extended
period
of thne
without
cookwaxe
on the
grate.
The
finish
on the
grate
may
chip
without
cookware
to absorb
the
heat.

on each

If anv

replace

The
drip trays and
liners
are made
of stainless
steel. The
drip
trays are
on rollers
so they aI'e easy to
i'elnove

replace.
To remove
the drip tray liner,
pull the drip
tray
forward.
If something
has spilled
into
the tra>
it should
be cleaned
up as soon
as possible
to
prevent
"baked
on" food soil.
Grease
fl'om
the griddle
or the grill drains
through
the drain
tulles
int(> the tray and
int(>
the liner beh)w.
Do not allow the grease
to acctmmlate
in
tile drip tray or liner as it can be a fire hazard.
Clean
the drip
tray and
liner as soon as thev are
cool. Clean
with hot soapy water.
To remove
the drip tray, pull
it fin'ward
to stop,
push
in on the release
tabs located
on each
side
of the trav and continue
to pull forward.
To clean
the drain
tube
use a soapy
bottle
b_ush.
A mild abrasive
cleaner
such as
Bon-Mni
'_or Soft Scrub ® can be used. For
smbl)orn
stains,
use a soap-filled
scom'ing
pad
or a harsh
abrasive
cleaner
such as Comet"
or
Ajax'_ _ul)bing
lightly.
Rinse all parts
thoroughly.
