To set an AEC from the printer control panel:

From the Bar code menu, select Alt ESC Code.

Select On to enable the AEC.

From the Bar code menu, select ESC Character.

Select an AEC from the menu.
You can disable the AEC by setting Alt ESC Code to Off.
