To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal
surface (such as a connector on your computer).
Removing the Front Stand

2. Remove the back cover (see
3. Remove the three screws that secure the front-stand assembly to the computer.
4. Lift the rear stand so that the front stand is accessible.
5. Carefully push and release the tab that secures the front-stand assembly to the middle frame.
6. Release the tabs that secure the I/O bracket to the middle frame.
7. Lift the front-stand assembly away from the computer.

8. Remove the three screws that secure the I/O bracket to the front stand.
9. Release the four tabs that secure the I/O bracket to the front stand.
10. Remove the I/O bracket from the front stand.
