READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING FIXTURE.
This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local or Federal
code specifications. To assure full compliance with codes and regulations, check with your local electrical
inspector before installation. To prevent electric shock, turn off electricity at fuse box before proceeding.
Retain these instructions for maintenance reference.
NOTE: This Power Jack is made for fixed ceilings or walls.
Do not install in removable ceiling or wall panels.
1. Cut a 2" dia. hole in the ceiling or wall (Fig 1).
2. Feed flexible (Romex, Greenfield, BX) conduit (by others) from
transformer thru 2" hole (fig. 2). Leave ample leads,
approximately 4" to 5".
3. Attach RIGHT ANGLE CONNECTOR to SPLICE COVER.
Place ANTI-SHORT BUSHING (supplied) on conduit end and
attach to connector. Splice leads from Power Jack to conduit
leads with WIRE NUTS (supplied) no polarity required, and fold
wires into SPLICE COVER and attach it to the Power Jack.
NOTE: If Romex cable is used, use a romex connector
(not supplied (Fig. 3).
4. Position LOCKING LEVERS close to the housing, insert the Power
Jack into the 2" opening (Fig.4).
5. Using the tabs on the BOTTOM PLATE as guides, center the Power
Jack over the opening while holding Power JAck in
position,tighten the LOCK SCREWS (2) until the LOCKING LEVERS
securely clamp the Power Jack in place.
6. Peel the appropriate MAXIMUM WATTAGE LABEL from its
backing and adhere it to the flange of the Power Jack near the
label (Fig.6).
NOTE: The Maximum wattage label selected for this Power Jack
must correspond to the markings on the transformer label.
7. Select the COVER with the same wattage marking and snap it over
the FLANGE (Fig. 7).
NOTE: Use the 35W MAXIMUM WATTAGE LABEL and COVER
for Fixtures that have screw-in adapters (Fig. 7).
NOTE: USE ONLY WITH JACKS MANUFACTURED BY LIGHTOLIER
USE OF OTHER EQUIPMENT VOIDS THE WARRANTY AND
MAY CREATE A HAZARD.
