PLAYING COMPACT DISCS

IMPORTANT:
This CD player can play normal CDs plus CD Recordable (CD-R) and CD
Rewriteable (CD-RW) discs. However the playability of CD-R/RW discs may be
affected by the type of software that was used in ' ripping' the tracks from the
original discs and ' burning' the tracks onto the blank media. Playability may also
be affected by the quality and condition of the blank media you use for recording.
100% compatibility cannot be guaranteed. This is not an indication of any problems
with your player.
1.) Slide the function CD/FM AUTO/AM selector switch on the right side cabinet
to the CD position.
2.) Press the POWER ON/OFF button on the top panel. The display will briefly
show "Cd" and then two dashes " – – " in the track number display.
After a few seconds the display will return to the correct time.
3.) Lift the CD door and place a CD on the
center spindle with the printed label side
facing up. Gently press downward on the
disc near the center hole until it is properly
' seated' on the spindle. Close the CD
door.
4.) The disc will spin for a few seconds as the player
reads the disc. Then the disc will stop and the
display will show the total number of tracks on
the disc.
After 5 seconds the display returns to the correct time.
