PLAYING COMPACT DISCS

1. Set the FUNCTION selector switch on the front cabinet to the CD position.
2. Press the POWER ON/OFF button on the top panel. The POWER indicator
and the radio dial lighting come ' On' .
3. Press the area marked "OPEN" on the CD door. When the door opens remove
the dummy CD transit card if you have not already done so.
4. Place your disc on the center spindle with the printed label side facing up and
close the CD door. The disc will spin for a few seconds while the player reads
the TOC (Table of Contents) on the disc.
The disc will stop spinning and the display
will briefly show the total number of tracks
on the disc, then the display will return to
the correct time.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
front panel. The display briefly shows "01"
and playback begins on track 1.
Adjust the VOLUME control to the desired level.
6.) Playback will continue until the last track has played then the disc stops. To
stop playback before the disc ends press the STOP
panel at any time.
7. If you are finished listening press the "OPEN" mark on the CD door, remove
your disc from the player, and then close the door again.
8. To listen to the radio set the FUNCTION selector switch back to the FM/ST or
AM position, or press the POWER ON/OFF button to shut the system ' Off' .
