ABOUT BUILT-IN HARD DISK DRIVE (HDD)

Important Notice of Built-in Hard Disk Drive (HDD)

The built-in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is a very delicate device.
Please read carefully and follow the instructions below.
Failure to do so could cause damages or malfunction.
Installation
Do not cover any ventilation holes and cooling fans on the unit.
Please place the TV unit on a stable place.
Do not place the TV unit in a dusty environment.
Do not install the unit in areas where it will be subject to high temperature, high humidity, and direct sunshine.
During in operation
Do not unplug from wall socket or turn the main power Off.
Do not move the unit or allow any strong impact on it.
Take extra care if you need to move the unit. Please follow the steps below:
1. Turn the main power Off.
2. Disconnect the plug from the power outlet.
3. Wait more than 2 minutes, and move the unit.
When the Power Indicating Lamp is blue, HDD is spinning rapidly. Whilst HDD is starting up or
spinning, the noise or vibration may be produced. This is not a malfunction.
If there is no power supply such as the power outage during recording or playback, the recorded
data could be damaged.
In case of malfunction
If playback is unexpectedly freezing or there is noticeable block noise (mosaic) frequently in the picture, it is possible
that they may be the signs of HDD failure. If HDD fails, it will be necessary to replace the HDD unit.
In case of replacing HDD unit, the recorded contents cannot be transferred into the new HDD unit.
Be sure to ask your dealer in case of repairing or replacing the HDD unit.
Never repair the unit by yourself (including any components other than HDD).
Failure to do so voids any warranty, stated or implied.
To retain important programmes
The recorded data in HDD may disappear in case of malfunction. When you record an important programme, we
recommend that it is also recorded on a DVD recorder or VCR, or copied to a video tape or DVD.
(Some programmes may be copy guarded.)
If the product fails to record or play because of a fault, we will not accept any responsibility for
compensation for HDD contents (recorded programme data, etc.) or loss of them, or any direct or indirect
damage.
