Still Picture and Frame-by-Frame Playback

RAM Video VR
1. Press PAUSE/STEP (;) during playback.
The recorder will now go into PAUSE mode.
2. You can advance or back up the picture frame-by-frame
by pressing 2 / 1 repeatedly during PAUSE mode.
3. To exit PAUSE mode, press 1 (PLAY).

The picture frame-by-frame in reverse is not available for
Video CD.

You can advance the picture frame-by-frame by pressing
PAUSE/STEP (;) repeatedly on the remote control.

Slow Motion

Video VR
RAM
1. Press PAUSE/STEP (;) during playback.
The recorder will now go into PAUSE mode.
2. Press BACKWARD (6) or FORWARD (5) during
PAUSE mode.
The Recorder will enter SLOW mode.
3. Use the BACKWARD (6) or FORWARD (5) to
select the required speed: G 1/16, G 1/8,G 1/4, or
G 1/2 (backward), or F 1/16, F 1/8, F 1/4, or
F 1/2 (forward).
With a Video CD, the Slow speed changes: F 1/8,
F 1/4 or F 1/2 (forward).
4. To exit Slow Motion mode, press 1 (PLAY).

Slow motion playback in reverse is not possible with
Video CDs.
Karaoke DVD

Random

1. Press RANDOM during playback.
The unit automatically begins Random Playback and
"RANDOM" appears on the TV screen.
2. To return to normal playback, press RANDOM until
"NORMAL" appears on the TV screen.

By pressing SKIP > during Random playback, the unit
selects another title (track) and resumes Random
playback.
ote
• This function only works with DVD Karaoke discs or
video CDs.

Press REPEAT to select a desired repeat mode.
• Chapter: repeats the current chapter.
• Title: repeats the current title .
• All: repeats the all titles on the disc.
(VR mode DVD-RW and RAM disc only)
• OFF: does not play repeatedly.

Repeat A-B

RAM Video
To repeat a sequence in a title:
1. Press A-B at your chosen starting point.
Repeat icon and REPEAT A- appears on the TV screen.
2. Press A-B again at your chosen end point.
Repeat icon and REPEAT A-B appears on the TV screen,
and the repeat sequence begins.
3. To cancel the sequence, press A-B repeatedly to
VCD
select REPEAT OFF.

Time Search

RAM Video
The Time Search function allows you to start playing at
any chosen time on the disc.
1. Press DISPLAY twice during playback. The on-screen
display appears on the TV screen.
The Time Search box shows the elapsed playing time of the
current disc.
2. Within 7 seconds, use 3 / 4 to select the Time
Search icon in the on-screen display.
The "-:--:--" appears in the Time Search box.
3. Within 7 seconds, use the number buttons to enter
the required start time. Enter hours, minutes, and
seconds from left to right in the box.
You can not enter an invalid time.
If you enter the wrong numbers, press 2 / 1 to move the
under bar (_) to the wrong number. Then enter the correct
numbers.
4. Within 7 seconds, press ENTER to confirm the start
time.
Playback starts from the selected time on the disc.

Manual Skip

Video

Press MANUAL SKIP during playback.
Use the following procedure to set the manual skip time:
1. Press SETUP.
2. Use 3 / 4 to choose "Disc", and then press 1.
3. Use 3 / 4 to choose "Manual Skip", and then press
ENTER.
4. Use 3 / 4 to select the time (15/30/60 seconds) to
be skipped, and then press ENTER.
