14.2 Shuttle lubrication

Caution: danger of injury
If shuttle lubrication is checked with the sewing machine switched on,
the utmost care must be taken.
Turn off the main switch.
Shuttle lubrication may only be adjusted with the sewing machine
switched off.
Regulation and inspection
The oil quantity required for shuttle lubrication varies with the sewing
yarns and material to be processed.
A piece of paper - ideally blotting paper - held beneath the shuttle
should be lightly sprayed with oil when a seam about 1 m long is sewn
at full speed using the intended threads and material.
Adjustment
–
Adjust screw 1:
anti-clockwise
clockwise
2 = shuttle-lubrication oil reservoir
= more oil
= less oil
