Cooling System

To ensure efficient
before riding the
motorcycle, and top up the coolant if
the level is low.
Corrosion Inhibitors
To protect the cooling system from
corrosion,
the
use
inhibitor chemicals in the coolant is
essential.
I f coolant containing a corrosion
inhibitor is not used, the cooling
system will accumulate rust and
scale
i n
the
water iacket
radiator. This will block t h e coolant
passages, and considerably reduce
the efficiency of the cooling system.
Warning
Use coolant mixture conta~ning
corrosion inhibitors and anti-freeze
suitable for aluminium engines and
radiators. Always use the anti-
freeze
in accordance with the
instructions of the manufacturer.
Coolant mixture that contains anti-
freeze
and corrosion
contains toxic chemicals that are
harmful to the human body. Never
swallow anti-freeze o r any of the
motorcycle coolant.
Coolant Level Inspection
of corrosion

NOTE
Position the motorcycle on level
ground and in an upright position.
The expansion tank can be viewed
from the left hand of the motorcycle,
between the rear of the lower fairing
inhibitors
and the frame.

The coolant level should be
checked when the engine is
cold (at room or ambient
temperature).
