Recording VHS Video Files Direct to DVD

To record VHS video files direct to DVDs:

Connect your VCR or other analog video
source to your capture card.

Click Start, choose All Programs, Video,
InterVideo WinDVD Creator, and then
click InterVideo WinDVD Creator again.

Select the Record video tape into DVD
disc in one step button.

Converting Recorded TV to VCD or DVD Format

You may not be able to preview recorded TV
programs with InterVideo WinDVD Creator
(WinDVD Creator) until the recorded TV program is
converted to a VCD or DVD format. However, you
will be able to convert the recorded program, save
it, edit it, and view it from the PC that it was
recorded to.

Locate and open your recorded TV program.
Click Start, My Documents, and then
Shared Documents folder. Double-click the
Recorded TV folder.

If your project is already open, click the Edit
button and skip to step 4.

Click Start, choose All Programs, Video,
InterVideo WinDVD Creator, and then
click InterVideo WinDVD Creator again.

Insert a blank DVD into your drive.

Click the Capture button and select
your VCR.

Press the Playback button on your VCR.

Click the Record button when the Preview
window displays what you want to record.

Open a project by selecting either the Create
new project or the Open existing
project button.

Click the Output to File (or Save
Movie) icon.

Select a GQ, HQ, SP, LP, or EP format and
click OK.

Enter a file name and click Save.
