Replacing the printhead

R E P L A C I N G T H E P R I N T H E A D
The printhead is sensitive to static electricity, which can damage the
printhead or reduce its life. Ground yourself by touching some metal, such
as the printer's metal base, before touching the printhead.
To replace the printhead:
1.
Turn off the printer.
Open the cover.

  • Page 3 Carefully unplug the cable from the printhead as shown. The printhead is sensitive to static electricity, which can damage the printhead or reduce its life. Ground yourself by touching some metal, such as the printer's metal base, before touching the printhead. Carefully plug the cable into the new printhead.
  • Page 4 Snap the printhead into place. Do not touch here Note: Make sure the printhead cable does not touch the ribbon roll. 10. Clean the new printhead with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to remove any salt or oil left from handling. 11.
