To install a drive in a 5.25-inch drive bay, perform the following steps:
1.
Prepare the drive for installation as described earlier in "Configuring Drives."
2.
Remove the drive cage as described earlier in "Removing the Drive Cage."
3.
If you are installing a drive in the lower 5.25-inch bay, remove the front-panel
insert shown in Figure 3-6 by pressing in the two tabs on the right side and rotat-
ing the insert toward you until the retaining hook disengages from the drive cage.
If you permanently remove the drive later, reinstall the insert by fitting the hook
into the slot on the left side of the drive cage, rotating the insert into place, and
snapping the tabs on the right side of the insert into the slots in the drive cage.

Slide the drive into its bay, and secure it to the drive cage with two screws on the
left and one screw on the right (see Figure 3-7).
