Self Calibration (PA301W only)
Simply connect the external USB sensor, and re-calibrate the factory settings without the need of a computer. This feature is
designed for workfl ows requiring display calibration.
Before proper self calibration can be performed, display should warm-up for a minimum 40 minutes. If this calibration is started
before the monitor is warmed up, a warning will appear on-screen (Figure S.3).
NOTE:
Stand-alone calibration can only be performed using the X-Rite i1 Display 2 Sensor.
Refer to the KEY MAP (Figure A) when changing settings during the calibration.
Calibration can be performed in either portrait or landscape orientation.
USB downstream
1. Select STAND-ALONE CALIBRATION in Tag B in Advanced OSD menu.
2. Unplug the USB equipment from the side (or bottom when Portrait orientation) USB downstream port and press "SELECT".
3. Plug-in the USB sensor to the side (or bottom when Portrait orientation) USB downstream port (Figure S.1).
4. The calibration menu will open and the sensor will begin to initialize. If the DARK-MEASUREMENT message is displayed,
place the USB sensor face down on a non-refl ective, opaque surface (i.e. desk or a mouse pad) to measure the black level
(Figure S.2) and press "SELECT".
After the DARK-MEASUREMENT has succeeded (Figure S.4), press "SELECT" to continue. If DARK-MEASUREMENT fails
(Figure S.5), restart the calibration procedure.

5. Use "LEFT" or "RIGHT" to select SELF in the MODE selection. Press "UP" or "DOWN" to move to the next selection.

NOTE: You can start calibration without computer as following.
When there is "NO SIGNAL" menu, press "LEFT", then "RIGHT" button and hold down simultaneously. All
White Pattern Image will be displayed. After this, Plug-in the USB sensor to the side (or bottom when Portrait
orientation) USB downstream port. You can start Self Calibration from step #4
