Intended Audience

This supplement is for the person who installs the Microsoft Cluster Server. Hewlett-Packard Company
assumes this person is qualified to service computer equipment and trained to recognize hazards in products
with hazardous energy levels. Hewlett-Packard only supports and recommends installation of clustered HP
NetServer systems using Microsoft Cluster Server software by a Microsoft or HP Cluster Certified Installer.
Cluster vs. Standalone
This supplement provides instructions specific to installing the shared storage devices in a fibre channel
cluster configuration. Therefore, these instructions do not replace existing instructions for the shared storage
devices presented in installation and user guides. Rather this supplement provides additional instructions
applicable to the fibre channel cluster installation.
