With the new server blades installed and provisioned by a joint use of Insight Control and Server
Automation, the server blades are ready to be moved into production, where they are monitored by
HP SIM and Server Automation.

Server Automation and Insight Control are complementary tools for managing your BladeSystem
server blade infrastructure. Insight Control focuses on server hardware management with its
monitoring, fault management, performance, and power management capabilities. Server Automation
enables you to easily manage the configuration of large numbers of heterogeneous server blades and
applications through its policy-based configuration and auditing capabilities.
Today, Insight Control and Server Automation complement each other to make data center
management more efficient. HP continues to investigate ways to improve the integration of these two
offerings to make them work even better together.
