U
unlock code A four-digit code used to access your phone once it has been locked. The factory
programmed unlock code is 1234.

vehicle power adapter An accessory device that allows you to power your phone and charge any
attached batteries from a car's cigarette lighter.
voice dial The feature that lets you call a phonebook entry by saying the entry's voice name.
voice name You can record a voice name for a phonebook entry. This lets you call the entry just by
saying the name from your phone's idle state.
voicemail Stores voice messages left by people who called you.
voice note A recording of a note, datebook event, or personal phone call for playback.
volume keys Located on the side of your phone, the upper and lower volume keys are used to adjust
phone volume.
W
wait A special character in a series of digits that tells your phone to wait until a call connects, then
prompt you before it sends the remaining digits in the series.
wake-up greeting The text that your phone displays when you first turn it on. You can change your
wake-up greeting.
WAP URL A WAP URL (Wireless Application Protocol Uniform Resource Locator) is an address for a
special kind of World Wide Web page that you can view on a mobile phone display. These special pages
contain brief text about a variety of topics.
warm transfer Lets you speak to the person who answers the target phone first. You can tell them
whom you are transferring or why, before you transfer the call.
Z
zoom The feature that lets you specify whether your phone display shows four or six lines of text (not
counting the bottom line which displays soft key information).
