It takes long time before playback starts.
¶ The disc type should be detected and motor rotation
stabilized before starting playback. This is normal and not a
malfunction.
A warning is displayed on the TV screen and playback is not
possible.
¶ The reproduced video may be disturbed or audio may be
skipped when the disc surface is stained with fingerprints or
dirt. Clean the disc surface by wiping it in the radial directions
using a soft cloth.
¶ If the disc is placed obliquely or on another disc, place the
disc correctly.
¶ Playback may be unavailable due to viewing restriction or
region code problem.
The top and bottom edges of the picture are cut off.
¶ The video format of the played disc does not match that of
the connected TV.
VCD cannot be played with menu playback.
¶ Menu playback is not available when P.B.C. is Off or the
sequential play mode of the player is set to "SEQ.2" .
¶ Menu playback is possible only with P.B.C.-compatible VCDs.
DVD VIDEO cannot be played.
¶ DVD VIDEO cannot be played when the sequential mode of
the player is set to "SEQ.2". Switch it to "SEQ.1".
Subtitles are not displayed.
¶ Subtitles are not displayed when the played DVD does not
contain the recording of subtitles.
¶ The subtitle language is set to "Off".
