RAIDCFG Issues

If you have created Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) 1 with
background initialization operation on CERC SATA 1.5/2S,
CERC SATA 1.5/6CH, or PERC 3/Di, you cannot delete the virtual disk using
RAIDCFG, until the background initialization operation is completed. You
must go to the controller basic input/output system (BIOS) to delete the
virtual disk and then create another virtual disk using another option.
If you delete a virtual disk on PowerEdge™ Expandable RAID controller
(PERC) 4/IM on Windows PE, you need to reboot the system.
Due to a rounding limitation, for RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5,
RAIDCFG can accept a virtual disk size that is 1 MB greater than the
maximum allowable virtual disk size when creating a virtual disk. However,
RAIDCFG will create the maximum virtual disk size and not give an error.
If you need the maximum allowable virtual disk size, it is recommended
that you do not provide the size in the CLI and let RAIDCFG calculate
the size for the RAID type.
Before creating a virtual disk using RAIDCFG on Cost-Effective RAID
Controller (CERC) Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA)
1.5/2S and CERC SATA 1.5/6CH, initialize the array disk(s) through the
controller BIOS.
