Status of RoHS compliance of Tandberg DLT tape drives
Dear customer,
The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(RoHS) will become effective by July, 1"' 2006. For your product strategy and planning flnd here the
RoHS status of Tandberg Data DLT tape drives.
Tandberg DLT VS80: This product will be EOL within 2"d quarter 2006. There will be no RoHS update for
this drive.
Tandberg DLT VS160: The transition from non- RoHS to RoHS VS160 products is starting right now and
will be finished by end of April 2006. From then there will be RoHS compliant products only at Tandberg
Data.
DLT-V4: Has been RoHS compliant from the first shipment.
SDLT320: RoHS compliant qualification units will be available by the end of April 2006. Shipment of
RoHS drives will start end of June 2006.
SDLT600: The kansition from non- RoHS to RoHS compliant products is happening now and is done by
RoHS compliant products only.
