There are two ways of specifying the characteristics of an unknown adapter:
– Manually select the attributes from the pull-down menus in the left pane in
Figure 5-13.
– Click the Adapter Keying button to cycle through drawings of adapters in
the right pane in Figure 5-13, and select the appropriate adapter from the
shape and location of the PCI connector.
The shape of the PCI connector indicates the voltage support (3.3 V or 5 V
or both) and the bus width (64-bit or 32-bit), as shown in Figure 5-14.
