Running a Copy Job and the Resulting Folder Structure
Copy Media and Folder Structure
All media folders are created automatically under the backup job to which they relate.
Jobs with a rotation schedule have a Rotation Media folder with sub-folders for each of
the rotation sets. The Copy job creates a Copy Rotation folder at the same level as the
Rotation media folder. Sub-folders mirror the structure of the Rotation Media folder,
except there may be multiple copy sets.
Although rotation sets and copy sets both increment, the way they increment, and under
what circumstances they increment is slightly different.
When Do Rotation Sets Advance?
The next rotation set is calculated when a new rotation type is defined on the backup job.
Apart from that, it is calculated at the end of a backup job, only if the job was run by the
scheduler or from the Run next schedule command. It is never advanced if it is run
manually, using the Run command.
