Homelite 18775 Assembly Instructions

DISCONNECT SPARK PLUG BEFORE PERFORMING
MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENT, LUBRICATION AND STORAGE.
The new handle and switch kit consists of (1) right control
handle, (1) left control handle, (1) electrical leads with termi-
nals and throttle cable and (1) switch.
Steps for removal of old handle and switch are as follows:
1. Remove frame from volute housing.
2. Remove shroud, outer volute housing, blower fan, and
inner volute housing.
3. Disconnect old electric leads.
NOTE: Lead from new handle and switch will be con-
nected in same manner as old (Example: white lead to
ignition module and black lead to ground).
4. Remove throttle cable from carburetor.

Disassemble handle assembly. Discard old handle, switch, and
electric lead and terminals.
Do not discard trigger, throttle latch, (2) plastite screws, bolt
and wing nut. These parts will be used to assemble new
handle and switch.
Refer to illustration before assembly of kit. Assemble kit using
trigger, throttle latch, throttle cable, screws, bolt and wing nut
from old handle assembly. Connect white electrical lead to the
ignition module and the black lead to ground. Attach throttle
cable to carburetor. Reinstall inner volute housing, blower fan,
outer volute housing, shroud and frame.
